Josh was rescued from an abusive petting zoo. He was overweight, his toenails were so long that he had difficulty walking, and his coat was matted and filthy. Because of years of abuse and neglect he had lost all faith in people.

The Gentle Barn staff went to work to heal his heart, and restore his body to health. It took a lot of persistence and patience but he is now the first one to greet visitors at the gate.

Josh will live out his life here with us and will continue to charm children with his golden eyes and his marshmallow fur.
