Come Meet Our Animals!

Visit The Gentle Barn and groom the horses, brush the cows, hold the chickens, give the pigs tummy rubs, hug the goats and sheep, hypnotize the emu, sit under the shade trees, munch on popcorn, and make new friends. There are several ways you can visit us:

Visit us any Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Please check our voice mail in adverse weather at 661-252-2440).
We ask a $5.00 donation (or more) per person to help feed and care for the animals and support our violence prevention program.
Have a private tour with Ellie - Our Founder or Jay - Our President, see the animals and hear their stories for a donation of $400.
Bring your child's classroom to The Gentle Barn for a field trip, $10/child.
Bring your child's scout troop to The Gentle Barn, $10/child.
Have a Gentle Barn Birthday party here and have the time of your life!

Note: All donations are nonrefundable.

There are two ways that you can have a party at The Gentle Barn. The first way is to have a party on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. while we are open, for $5 per person. You can enjoy the animals along with our visitors and hug and brush the cows, groom the horses, give the pigs tummy rubs, hold the chickens and play with the sheep and goats. Then you can have the use of our picnic tables for your food and cake. Out of respect for the animals, we ask that you do not bring in meat, poultry or fish.

The second way you can have a party at The Gentle Barn is a private party where you have the place to yourselves. It is a donation of $400 dollars. Enjoy hot fresh popcorn as you arrive. Then we give the kids a presentation geared to their age and attention span. We talk about why pigs love mud, why roosters crow, how animals talk through body language, and what the animals eat, etc… After the presentation we take the kids to hug and brush the cows, pet and feed the horses, give the pigs tummy rubs, hold the chickens, talk with the turkeys, and play with the goats and sheep. After time with the animals you have your party at the picnic tables. You bring in the food, you can have a 12 course meal or just cupcakes, it's up to you. Out of respect for the animals, we ask that you do not bring in meat, poultry or fish.

The Gentle Barn is perfect for adult birthday parties, end of the year school parties and corporate picnics too!
